La Dimora
Where Tuscan Heritage Meets Timeless Elegance
Located in the heart of the Ferragamo family’s private estate in San Giustino Valdarno, Dimora Il Borro is the crown jewel of Il Borro Relais & Châteaux, a stately villa that perfectly embodies the spirit of Tuscan sophistication, surrounded by rolling vineyards, cypress-lined lanes, and the centuries-old village of Il Borro.

Built in 1854 by the princely Hohenlohe Waldenburg family and later owned by Duke Amedeo d’Aosta
the villa was purchased and lovingly restored by Ferruccio Ferragamo in 1993. Every element, from the frescoed ceilings to the symmetry of the Italian gardens, reflects a masterful balance between authenticity and refinement, preserving its noble character while introducing contemporary comfort and understated luxury.
With 1,100 square metres of living space, 10 double bedrooms, and 10 bathrooms, Dimora Il Borro offers the atmosphere of a historic residence with all the privacy and comfort of a modern estate. It is the ideal retreat for families, private gatherings, or exclusive events, with access to the full range of Il Borro’s five-star hospitality and services.
Why I LOVE IT
Dimora Il Borro is a Place Where Heritage and Vision Merge Seamlessly.
It represents the essence of Tuscan elegance, interpreted through the refined eye of the Ferragamo family, who transformed this historic residence into a masterpiece of restoration and hospitality.
Every detail has been thought through with care, from the symmetry of the gardens to the quiet grandeur of the frescoed halls. The service is warm and impeccable, the atmosphere serene and deeply authentic. To me, it is one of those rare places that truly capture what timeless luxury means in Tuscany: discreet, personal, and naturally beautiful.
