Hotel Hassler
An Icon of Roman Hospitality, Reborn with Vision and Tradition
Since 1893, the Hotel Hassler has stood as a timeless emblem of elegance, poised above the Spanish Steps like a guardian of Rome’s eternal beauty. Its walls breathe history, its rooms embrace refinement, and its atmosphere radiates a rare harmony between heritage and modern sophistication. To enter the Hassler is a step into a world where Roman grandeur meets intimate warmth, a sanctuary where every details whispers excellence.

Perched majestically above Piazza di Spagna
the Hassler is more than a hotel, it is Rome’s most enchanting vantage point. Timelessly refined interiors open onto sweeping views of domes, churches, and rooftops that have inspired generations of travelers. A proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World and Virtuoso, it embodies the artistry of Italian tradition infused with contemporary elegance. From the Michelin-starred Imàgo rooftop restaurant to the serene Palm Court garden, every corner whispers of Rome’s magic. And in 2026, the unveiling of its exclusive 700 sqm spa will offer yet another reason to fall in love with this iconic retreat.
Why I LOVE IT
The Hassler Holds a Very Special Place in my Heart.
It is owned and managed with incomparable elegance by my siblings, Veruschka and Roberto Jr., who have inherited their passion and dedication from their esteemed father, the late Roberto Wirth. Their work is a true testament to his legacy: impeccable service, a professional yet genuinely warm staff, and an atmosphere so unique that it makes you feel instantly at home. I deeply admire how they continue the tradition of excellence, elevating one of the world’s most renowned hotels while preserving its attentive, welcoming spirit.
Another reason why the Hassler is so meaningful to me is that it was the very first hotel where I had the honour of working. It is where I was taught the art of exceptional service, the value of dedication, and the passion that Roberto so generously passed on to me.
